Caring for your Wacoal Bra

Wacoal bras, panties and coordinating lingerie are made with the finest fabrics, laces and embroideries from around the world. To care for them we suggest the following:

WEAR

You should have a minimum of 3 of your favorite bras; one to wear, one to wash and one in the drawer. A bra should be washed after every time it is worn to remove body oils, perfumes, moisturizers, self- tanners, etc. A bra should be retired after being worn and washed 100 times as it will not offer as much support as needed.

WASHING

Ideally you should hand wash your lingerie in a delicate detergent specially formulated for bras and fine lingerie.

If you must machine wash, always fasten the hook and eye at the back of the bra (helps to avoid possible snagging) and fold cups into one another and place straps in the cups, then place in the lingerie wash bag.

Using a lingerie washing bag will protect these delicate garments from snags, tangles and tears when you machine wash

Machine wash garments in washing bag, in cold or warm water with mild soap or detergent.

Normal detergents, bleaches, and fabric softeners can destroy elastic and lace; Please use a delicate soap like "Forever New"

Wash light and dark colored garments separately, as these syntethic fibers tend to pick up soil and dye from the wash water.

Do not wring-out or twist the garments to remove excess water

DRYING

Wacoal suggest on line drying or laying out flat. It is the heat of tumble dryers that break down the delicate fibers used in our embroideries and laces.
