Finished Goods Quality Control Inspector
Wacoal America designs and manufactures luxury lingerie for distribution throughout North America.
We are seeking a Finished Goods Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality Control team performing inspections of incoming new products before releasing to Distribution Center. Quality Control Inspector will report to the
Director of Finished Goods in all aspects from scheduling to quality issues.
Experience with apparel design and construction is a plus. Attention to details and appreciation for fine lingerie is a must. Work closely with our Director of FG Quality and Quality Supervisor to ensure we deliver the best to our
customers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Understanding the basic quality and construction of apparels (constructions, stitching techniques, measurements, etc.)
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and technical skills a plus
- Good listener and able to follow directions.
- Work independently, have good sense of urgency, able to prioritize and get work done.
- Ability to use good judgement with problem-solving skills.
- Sharp attention to detail, precision, and good eyesight
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In-house quality control inspection
- Perform 100% visual inspections on finished garments, check to ensure that the construction spec has been followed and appropriate packaging has been used for the product.
- Detect and identify loose/broken threads, stains, damages in fabric or sewing, mishandling of fabric, and other quality issues.
- Focus on accuracy and detail to meet our company’s high-quality standards.
- Evaluate and measure garments to ensure all measurements match graded specs.
- Communicate clearly with Director of Finished Goods Quality and Quality Supervisor, both verbally and in writing (email, word, excel).
- Take pictures of defects to include in quality control reports.
Job Types: Full Time (35 working hours per week).
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED (Preferred)
Experience:
- Apparel or retail: 1 year (Preferred)
